About

The Tanzania Chamber of Mines was established in November 1994 and represents the private participants in the Tanzanian mineral sector. The Chamber is a voluntary private sector organization governed by the Societies Ordinance of 1954 and as a society, its activities are coordinated by the Registrar of Societies under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Mission

To represent and advance our members' interests through evidence-based stakeholder engagement, foster networking, and collaboration, generate and consolidate information on standards for safe and ethical mining, and create public awareness on the mining industry.

Vision

To be a leading, innovative, effective, and unified voice in responsible mining practices, for the mining Industry.

Networking Opportunities

We organize events and meetings where members can connect with peers, share experiences, and build professional relationships.

Professional Development

Any member may volunteer to lead a workshop or seminar to advance the expertise and understanding of other members on a specific topic.

Advocacy and Representation

We advocate for improvements to laws, rules, and industry standards on behalf of members in order to foster a positive investment environment and business operations in the mining industry. Also, to represent members' interests in government and business forums.

Public Relations and Marketing

We promote our members through public relations campaigns, media outreach, and marketing initiatives.

Committees

TCM operates through seven committees, which bring together subject matter experts from various member companies to share experiences and discuss relevant issues that can be brought before the TCM Council for resolution
